The popular Snapchat app recently introduced an update that includes several filters designed for dogs: you can try on virtual glasses, a filter with butterflies or apply floating bones to your pet. But the coolest innovation was cute cartoon eyes - a filter called Cartoon Face.
Snapchat has a charming filter that can turn your dog into a Disney character.
The filter can transform both the facial features of a person and the muzzles of an animal (however, the filter works a little worse with animals, which is also affected by color). The filter enlarges the eyes (you can even blink) and generally makes it look like Walt Disney cartoon characters. For example, dogs quite strongly begin to resemble the characters of the cartoon "Lady and the Tramp".
Dog lover and owner of the Dogspotting Society Facebook group Daniel Sagen shared a photo of his dogs with a new filter and provoked a whole wave of similar images in the comments.
Although the application itself intentionally does not say that this is a "Disney" version, we all recognize the aesthetics of the famous studio's cartoons.
The filter mainly stylizes the eyes. It recognizes many breeds and different facial expressions of dogs, for example when the animal squints or closes its eyes.
