An outdated or simply boring Android smartphone is the easiest to throw away. However, this is hardly the best solution. With some effort, it can be sold: there are almost always those who want it. 1. Despite the fact that the average life of a smartphone is less than a year, it remains operational much longer. At least its core functions live long. How can you use an old smartphone by taking it out of the closet and carefully wiping the dust?
2. At the very least, a smartphone is a great alarm clock. The optimal solution for those who are afraid to oversleep: we use both the old and the new device in this capacity. Not to hear the calls of two devices at once is a must.
3. Any Android smartphone is a good music player. Connecting it to a docking station, which are extremely cheap, you can get a decent stereo system, the sound quality is much superior to a laptop. In addition (we still assume that the owner has two smartphones at once: the old one and the new one), the user, using the new device exclusively for its intended purpose, does not risk looking for an outlet and recharging the device at a critical moment.

However, you can get a general idea - at least about the interface and ease of use.
5. In an era of cloud computing and cheap flash memory, this advice may seem strange. And yet: who is stopping you from using your old smartphone to store contacts, photos or notes? Let's not forget the golden rule of storing information: the more copies, the higher the probability of not losing it.
6. And finally, the choice for geek gamers. Even on older smartphones, Game Boy, Play Station and Nintendo 64 emulators work well. At least it's interesting as an experiment.
