Wind speeds up to 60 km / h, dust and huge insects - all this is not able to stop those who arrived this year at the Burning Man festival. And judging by these photographs from above, there were VERY many such people. Sprawling in a huge semi-circle across the Nevada desert, Black Rock City, as it is called, sheltered 65,000 people who lived and hung out here for seven days. This giant city has its own cinema, clubs, temples and churches, bus service and even an airport. After the festival, it will be taken apart, and it will wait for its finest hour next year.

1. Although the city seems to be just a chaotic cluster of wagons from a distance, from a distance it all looks like an even, carefully organized semicircle.
2. By the way, each horizontal road has a name - from the Esplanade, the inner road before the first block of camps, to Laffing Sal, the road behind the last block.

In the very center, in an empty place, there is a Man - a sculpture, after which the festival is named. It is set on fire on the last day.
4. The camp in 1997 was the first and only one outside of Black Rock Desert due to scheduling issues. It was square. Rounded edges were added the following year.
5. At first, the city occupied only half of the circle and only 9,000 people lived in it at five intersections. Today there are 65,000 at 15 intersections, and they occupy more than two-thirds of the circle.
6. The festival takes place in the desert, where no one disturbs the tourists for seven whole days ... except for dust storms.
7. But you can’t fool experienced party-goers: they have been coming to the festival in full gear for a long time - with glasses and masks.

9. In the very center of the camp rises a sculpture of a Man, which will be burned at the end of the week-long celebration.

12. Money is illegal here, so guests exchange goods, and many fans tried to "buy" tickets to the festival with various treasures, such as crystals. The camp is temporary, so guests must bring everything from food and tents to furniture.
