See the scale - Burning Man festival from a bird's eye view and more
Wind speeds up to 60 km / h, dust and huge insects - all this is not able to stop those who arrived this year at the Burning Man festival. And judging by these photographs from above, there were VERY many such people. Sprawling in a huge semi-circle across the Nevada desert, Black Rock City, as it is called, sheltered 65,000 people who lived and hung out here for seven days. This giant city has its own cinema, clubs, temples and churches, bus service and even an airport. After the festival, it will be taken apart, and it will wait for its finest hour next year.

2. By the way, each horizontal road has a name - from the Esplanade, the inner road before the first block of camps, to Laffing Sal, the road behind the last block.
3. Vertical "streets" are named after the position on the clock they occupy. For example, 6:00 is in the very center, 10:00 is on the left side, and 2:00 is on the right. In the very center, in an empty place, there is a Man - a sculpture, after which the festival is named. It is set on fire on the last day.
4. The camp in 1997 was the first and only one outside of Black Rock Desert due to scheduling issues. It was square. Rounded edges were added the following year.
5. At first, the city occupied only half of the circle and only 9,000 people lived in it at five intersections. Today there are 65,000 at 15 intersections, and they occupy more than two-thirds of the circle.
6. The festival takes place in the desert, where no one disturbs the tourists for seven whole days ... except for dust storms.
7. But you can’t fool experienced party-goers: they have been coming to the festival in full gear for a long time - with glasses and masks.
8. This year the theme of the event is “Mirror Festival”, which is why you can stumble upon a lot of installations with mirrors in the camp.
9. In the very center of the camp rises a sculpture of a Man, which will be burned at the end of the week-long celebration.
10. In addition to the Man, there are many sculptures in the center of the camp, which are also subject to burning.
11. Every year the festival is held under some theme.
12. Money is illegal here, so guests exchange goods, and many fans tried to "buy" tickets to the festival with various treasures, such as crystals. The camp is temporary, so guests must bring everything from food and tents to furniture.
13. Party people gathered in front of the Robot Heart audio system to enjoy the music.
14. There is something to do on the territory of the camp. For example, ride a swing.
15. Art installation "Totems of Repentance". Festival participants are asked to write their confessions on pieces of paper, which are attached to the inside of the tower ... and then burned along with it.
16. Some sculptures are movable, such as this El Pulpo Mecanico.
17. The skeleton of a snake named Mother Snake bristled with fire.
18. Some installations are interactive, like this skeleton that can swing its arms and legs like a puppet.
19. Skiball game.
20. The main sculpture of the festival against the backdrop of the moon in the middle of the desert in Nevada is waiting to be burned.
