Scientists have found that believers get more pleasure from sex than atheists

Norwegian scientists have learned that religious people are more satisfied with their sex life than atheists. And this is despite the fact that believers, on average, are less likely to make love. To draw such conclusions, sexologists of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health conducted a survey of 15 thousand residents of the UK aged 18 to 59 years.

Of the respondents, 11% of men and 16% of women said that religion plays an important role in their lives. But believers are less likely to have sex. Especially those who are not married and do not have a permanent couple. Despite this, religiosity has a positive effect on the quality of sexual life, or at least on satisfaction with it.

Married religious women turned out to be the most satisfied with their intimate life. Interestingly, there were much fewer married religious men who were completely satisfied with this aspect of life. The study participants also reported that excess sex, as well as its absence, is a negative phenomenon.

Britons who were prone to promiscuous sex life were less satisfied with their sex life. About the same were dissatisfied with those who do not have sex at all. After analyzing the data obtained, Norwegian scientists came to a very interesting conclusion.

It turns out that sexual satisfaction increases with the frequency of sex, but up to a certain point. After this milestone, the increase in the number of sexual contacts affects the assessment of sexual life already negatively. It turns out that too much sex is just as bad as too little.

In general, research on sex almost always gives unexpected results. For example, having studied the experience of athletes and ordinary people, sexologists have learned that active sports negatively affect intimate life.
