Sahama National Park
Alexey Smirnov writes: “The Sajama National Park is located in the west of Bolivia, just 20 kilometers from the border with Chile. It got its name from the highest peak of the park in particular and the country as a whole - the extinct volcano Saham, whose "growth" is 6542 meters. In addition to its impressive height, it has a beautiful cone-shaped shape, and this is exactly what an ideal volcano should look like in my opinion. Sahama is not the only peak of the park: almost the entire territory along the perimeter is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes. There is also a valley of geysers, thermal springs, lakes and a small village where you can stop to see all of the above.”

2. The village is mostly designed for tourists, which is logical. Local residents are busy serving visitors and growing alpacas.
3. The church is quite suitable for this village.
4. This is how it looks from the bell tower.
5. And this is a look at one half of the village. Add the same number of houses to the right and get a complete picture.

7. But the people in the village live creatively thinking.

12. Maybe I’ll express myself too figuratively now, but if you imagine a top view of this valley, it will look like ... Adjarian khachapuri. Very hot khachapuri! And do not ask why such associations, just believe me)

17. Being in this valley, sometimes there were suspicions that you were no longer in Bolivia, but somewhere, from the stories of Jules Verne.
18. You look into these pools, and there is emptiness. And you think that if this "well" were not filled with hot water, then it would be possible to go down to the very center of the Earth.

21. We went through almost the entire valley and found that even in such places there is life.

24. The beauty of Sahama can compete with two more volcanoes, whose names remind me more of the names of Italian desserts - Parinacota and Pomerapi.

26. As I already said, there are a great many volcanoes and mountains in the park and, of course, I did not begin to remember them all by name. Therefore, I will summarize all the following photos in one word - the Andes. Or maybe the Cordillera. To be honest, I'm a little confused by them.
