Russian woman saved a little wolf cub and got a loyal friend
Nature lives by its own cruel laws, and sometimes man has to interfere with natural selection to give a weak creature a chance to live. The wolf Kira was born in a kennel, but her mother immediately abandoned her and her siblings, so people had to take care of them. Kira fell into the good hands of a girl named Alida, who replaced her not only as a mother, but also as a pack.
Kira's mother can be called a domestic wolf, because she grew up in a human family. But not everyone can keep an adult wolf, so the owners, unable to cope with the difficulties, gave the animal to the kennel. Such domesticated predators do not survive in the wild, because they have not been taught to forage for food. So the wolf remained in captivity and gave birth to cubs in the aviary.
The reason why the wolf gave up her offspring on the third day is unknown, but people did not let the puppies die. Kira was taken home by Alida as soon as the cub started drinking milk on its own, at the age of 28 days. She knew well that raising a wolf was not the same as raising a big dog, but she had to face many problems that she did not know about.
We can say that Alida was lucky with her pet-Kira turned out to have a calm character and a stable psyche. She quickly adapted to life in an urban environment and stopped responding to people, animals and transport. The wolf does not provoke conflicts with domestic and stray dogs, but it is especially worth telling about her attitude to children.
Kira is very sensitive to the kids, she chose a special tactic for this. She is friendly to the children, but if she notices that they are afraid of her, she immediately leaves. Therefore, Alida does not worry about the fact that the wolf will become a source of danger for the small residents of the city. She herself has a seven-year-old son who gets along well with the animal.
But, despite the adequate behavior, the girl walks the animal only on a leash and in a steel muzzle, because the wolf is always a wolf. But during country walks, the girl can give her Kira freedom and give her plenty to run and play. The wolf is very photogenic and it is easy to get her to pose for photo shoots.
On the street, people often approach Alida and ask her to take a selfie with the animal. Many people are interested in the question – how is it to live in the same city apartment with a large forest predator. Alida is happy to talk about her life with the wolf, and even invites journalists to visit.
Unfortunately, there are also detractors. Alida says that most often she encounters such people in social networks, where they leave unpleasant comments under the photo of the hostess and her pet.
