Russian Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the dashing 90s according to Evgeny Zubkov
Russian artist Evgeny Zubkov drew Russian Ninja Turtles straight from the "dashing 90s". The author shared his work on Twitter.
Everyone who is a fan of Ninja Turtles knows: they live in the sewers of New York, look and communicate in an American friendly way, and drive a van similar to a hippie Volkswagen T1. And what would have changed if Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael had grown up in Russia, and even in the dashing "nineties"?
This idea was realized by the Russian artist Evgeny Zubkov, the author of many drawings about the beautiful Russia of the future.
Now Zubkov has drawn Russified Turtles. In this version, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo were born not in America, but in Russia during the "dashing 90s", having undergone significant changes in appearance.
According to the artist's idea, mutant turtles would drive a "loaf" (UAZ-2206) with a machine gun, eat shawarma, and instead of nunchucks, sticks, katanas and daggers-sai, they would use improvised means and AK-47.
By the way, the turtles also began to look much more severe: you can distinguish an army belt with a "star" badge, tattoos and sweatpants.
