Rostov "bench for yogis" caused outrage of netizens
What tricks are not used by domestic grandmothers to protect their monopoly to sit near the entrance. The other day, someone posted a photo of a bench in one of the courtyards of Rostov-on-Don on social networks, on which it will definitely not work to sit with a beer and yell under the windows.
A certain craftsman not only adapted a padlock to the folding seat, but also protected the product with sharp screws from encroachments.
A small architectural form of an unusual design was noticed in the Rostov neighborhood of Alexandrovka. The author of the picture accompanied his publication with a short but succinct phrase — "This is Alexandrovka, baby. Harsh!". And in fact, this bench can be called the most inaccessible in the world, since it is impossible to sit on it even sacrificing comfort.
The individual bench can only be used by the lucky owners of the key, who can open the lock and turn the board with screws into the working position. The picture shows that the construction was not made in a hurry by a yard craftsman, but lovingly assembled by a real master.
In the comments under the photos of the private bench, battles between users immediately broke out. Some justified the customer of such a product, obviously tired of the noise and dirt in his yard, while others blamed the authors of the infernal invention.
As arguments, opponents of the studded bench cited the fact that children can be injured on the points of the screws. Some also admitted that in the evening someone might not see the sharp spikes and, sitting on the board, would get seriously injured.
There were even radical people among the commentators who advised finding a bench and bending the screws with a hammer. But most of all, of course, there were jokers who came up with various names and methods of application for the construction. Most often, the bench was compared with the equipment for yoga classes.
In fairness, I must say that the Rostov bench is not the know-how of the old ladies of Alexandrovka. To prevent the use of benches and other horizontal surfaces by homeless or idle youth, spikes are used all over the world.
That's what they do in tolerant Europe to prevent the use of parapets and ledges of buildings for gatherings.
And this bench from the Berlin park is a close relative of the Rostov one. To sit on it, you need to put 50 euro cents into the coin receiver and the spikes will disappear for a certain time.
