When someone hears the phrase "Playboy Mansion", images of charming models in bikinis immediately pop up in their head, flirting with guests at a luxurious party led by Hugh Hefner, dressed in his favorite bathrobe. This could be observed on Sunday, August 28, when the annual Midsummer Night's Dream party was held in the famous mansion, but the guests did not see the 90-year-old Hugh Hefner. Instead of the founder of the erotic magazine, his son Conner hosted the guests.
This month, Hefner sold the famous mansion for $100 million, and since then there have been significantly fewer Playboy parties. The new owner of the mansion was Daren Metropoulos, co-owner of Hostess Twinkie and head of the investment company Metropoulos & Co, whose assets are estimated at $ 2.4 billion. As part of the deal, Hugh Hefner is allowed to continue living in the mansion for the rest of his life, and no major renovations will be carried out until his death.
Minor details of the contract have not been disclosed, and it is unclear what freedoms Hugh Hefner will be able to enjoy while living in the mansion. Neither Metropoulos nor Hefner say whether the annual Playboy parties will continue, including for Halloween, New Year's and Hugh Hefner's birthday.
Perhaps this party is one of the last in the mansion, which will definitely never be the same.
