Photographer Ignas Kutavicius from Lithuania used one of the oldest photographic technologies to find out what taking a selfie could look like at the dawn of the history of photography.

"Selfies are probably the most popular of modern types of photography. Nowadays, everyone has a camera in their pocket and quick pictures of themselves are taken every day in countless quantities. Everything was not so simple when a pinhole camera was used for photographing," Ignas Kutavicius—

He made a special design for a small pinhole camera that allows you to fix the device on your head, opposite your face. The photographer published the self-portraits and selfies of his acquaintances and friends on his personal website.
