Sergey Chilikov was born in 1953 in the village of Kilemary (Mari ASSR). Graduated from the Mari Pedagogical Institute. Candidate of Philosophical Sciences. He taught at the universities of Yoshkar-Ola from 1976 to 1991. He has been photographing since childhood. Creatively took place in the group "FACT" (1976).
Here's what the photographer tells about his photo series "Beach": "I love resort towns and villages. But then there was Yalta. And it was good because to work in the frame you didn't have to wander all day long to hook someone and persuade. And there was no need to explain, they say, you are not a South Korean spy."
