Photo project about youth dreams and fantasies on the beach
New York photographer Michael Douek at the age of 17, went to the lake Montauk. Memories of this trip are still alive in his memory as if it happened yesterday. This was in 1975 — lake, sand, surf and girls. A trip to Montauk was like a first love, built in a multiple degree. Later, 30 years later, the photographer returned to the place where I spent a memorable summer of his youth.
And there Michael captured the charm of the waves. "I've always felt himself as a non-native, alien," regretfully said the photographer. Indeed, his work is permeated with a subtle sense of longing, a deep attachment to this place and these people.
