Photo of people from a height
Amsterdam-based German photographer Kathrin Korfmann loves taking photos of people from above. But unlike many high-altitude photographs taken from small aircraft, Korfmann chose a rather modest method. She takes pictures from cranes, and when there are no cranes nearby, she attaches her camera to a small remote-controlled helicopter.

1. Katrin Korfmann takes several photos and then merges them together. The result is a photo for which you have to work for 2-3 months and review 500-2000 photos.
2. Since Katrin takes photos at different times, she has to resort to photo manipulation to create a photo that seems whole and unified.
3. “From a height, people all look alike,” says Katrin.
4. "My idea is to create two dimensions: one when you look from a distance, and the second when you zoom in and see people up close."
