Passionate tango performed by giraffes
It seems that the giraffes in these pictures are performing a passionate pair dance - tango. But in fact, graceful giants are engaged in a ritual battle for the female. It will continue until one of them is defeated and falls to the ground.

1. The pictures were taken in Luangwa National Park in Zambia by photographer Dana Allen.
2. Two young and ambitious males participated in the "dance".
3. The battle lasted more than two hours.
4. The animals moved very slowly and smoothly. Often their movements were synchronous. This created the illusion of a pair dance.
5. At the end of the fight, the winner left with the female.
6. Dan Allen is already fifty-one years old. Twenty-five years of which he has devoted to photographing animals in the regions of South, East and Central Africa.
7. The photographer came very close to the animals, but they paid absolutely no attention to him.
