Openwork paper sculptures by Christina Kim
Artist Kristina Kim from Toronto has been successfully working with such a fertile material as paper for a long time. In her early projects, the girl created stunning collages, but now her attention has turned to three-dimensional objects, and now she cuts complex geometric sculptures out of paper.
The skill of the artist and the original approach to the art of collage make her work different from others. Kim says that creating her delicate paper art feels like "liberating form from the boundaries and limits of the original two-dimensional surface."
Christina recently completed several new projects, which you will see pictures in this issue. These unusual sculptures will be shown as part of the Toronto Design Festival in January 2014.
