Inspired by the Baha'i faith and his struggle with drug addiction, Melbourne hairdresser Nasir Sobani skateboards around the city and cuts hair for the homeless for free - along the way, holding soul-saving conversations with them.
“A haircut can mean a lot. That is why I believe that a new haircut is a new life,” says Nasir. He says that he used to use cocaine all the time, spending about 300-400 dollars a day on it. “Now I just repeat to myself every morning: “Don't give up!” Nasir says the same to the homeless, inspiring them to start a new life.
Nasir claims cutting people's hair is his "new way to get high, a new drug."
