On the Day of the city, residents of Stavropol ate an elephant and gnawed the crown of a tree

Every fourth Saturday in September, Stavropol celebrates the City Day. This year, enthusiasts have created several original art objects to decorate the main square of the city. But the trouble with these creations was that edible materials were used to create them, so they pleased the eyes of the townspeople for a very short time.

For the decoration of the holiday, an impressive elephant made of apples, an original flower arch and a tree with a cotton candy crown were created. The most impressive creation was, of course, the apple elephant. The city authorities proudly reported that its creation took as much as 7 hours and several tens of kilograms of selected local apples.

Residents of the city appreciated the efforts of the decorators of the holiday and destroyed the fruit elephant, which was sculpted for several hours, in 10 minutes. With great enthusiasm, the townspeople began to disassemble the main decoration of the holiday, stuffing their pockets, bags and backpacks with apples.

Those who did not have enough ruddy fruits did not grieve for a long time and quickly gnawed the crown of the tree made of cotton candy. Well, the townspeople, who did not show proper skill and did not keep up with their more nimble countrymen, had to be content with a flower arch, which was also dismantled in a record period of time.

Having emptied the square decorated for the holiday, the participants of the celebration got bored and scattered to their homes and the surrounding "bottling plants" to celebrate the city celebration with a crunchy fruit snack. But not everyone present liked the looting of the square.

Literally immediately, an angry post of this content appeared in the city public "Region26":

We must pay tribute to the creators of the elephant — they did not accept the loss of their masterpiece, and the next day in the morning they came back to the square with apples and restored their offspring. The elephant was saved, but the reputation of the residents of Stavropol perished.

If the residents of the city carried the elephant in a matter of minutes, then it would have taken them seconds for the edible landscapes of photographer Carl Warner.
