Nizhnekamsk is the capital of petrochemistry and oil refining in Russia
“The already explored oil reserves in Tatarstan are sufficient for its production at the current level for at least another 30 years. Geological exploration and the introduction of new methods to increase the recovery of reservoirs will extend this period for several more decades. The largest center of the petrochemical industry in the republic is located in Nizhnekamsk. It concentrates 23% of industrial products produced in Tatarstan, about 30% of exports,” says Slava Stepanov.
