Says photographer Danny Gittis: "Our culture is just beginning to accept the sexuality of the individual beyond the traditional understanding, in which there are only two — a man and a woman. My project is a natural response to what I call a limited understanding of the very complex nature of sexuality. I wanted to go beyond the "norm" and show people who accept not only black and white ideas that we are stuffed with every day.
All these photos of New York fetishists were taken at their home. Some of them enjoy anonymity or a rebellious fetish culture, while others just stay themselves, enjoying something that goes beyond standard sex."
