Naked yoga and no camera: what do classical asanas look like from below

Categories: Photo project |

The British duo of photographers and artists, and at the same time spouses Rob and Nick Carter (Rob and Nick Carter) have been working together for 20 years. Their works are exhibited all over the world in the most famous art galleries and museums. Recently, a husband and wife released a book with photograms — large-format portraits depicting bodies during yoga classes.

Photograms are made without the help of a camera or any computer technology. Just a model and yoga. The girl performed asanas on photo paper instead of a mat, and photographers directed light at her in such a way that the shadow of the yogini remained on the photosensitive surface.

The project is dedicated not only to the flexible beauty of the body, but also to the transformation of the visual image, since in the case of photo paper it is impossible to predict the result.
