Marshmallows in chocolate, or How a Yakut photographer married an African beauty
The photographer Dmitry Makrygin from Yakutsk is a very unusual family. His wife, Ruth, does not look like a Siberian at all, because she was born and raised in distant Nigeria. Despite this, the Makrygin family is the most Yakut — their plans do not include moving to warmer climes and they see their life only in this harsh land.
But how did two close people who were born and live in different parts of the planet find each other? As always happens in such cases, fate brought them together. Dmitry 6 years ago went to St. Petersburg as a tourist, and Ruth at that time completed her studies at the university as an economist and was going to return home to Nigeria.
Dmitry, seeing a spectacular stranger with a model appearance on one of the St. Petersburg streets, could not resist and began to photograph her. The girl noticed this and the young people got acquainted. Fortunately, both speak English well, so they did not have any problems in communication.
Having been together quite a bit, Dmitry and Ruth went home — the girl to hot Nigeria, and the guy to cold Yakutia. But when they parted, they already understood that they could not live without each other. The separation lasted for five years and only phone calls and correspondence in social networks helped to brighten it up.
But if people are destined to be together, then so it will be, and Ruth came to Dmitry to become his wife and stay forever in Of Russia. At the registry office, the bride looked great — her snow-white dress contrasted favorably with her dark skin, and her smile was dazzling. But it was only a painting, and the wedding itself will take place a little later in St. Petersburg, where a wonderful acquaintance took place.
Nigerian customs require that the wedding ceremony be as pompous as possible, which is why its preparation takes so much time. You also need to arrange a visit to Russia of the bride's relatives, who will need visas for this.
The newlyweds plan to live in Yakutsk, near Dmitry's parents. By the way, when I first met Dimin's son's fiancee, my mother was somewhat shocked, but when she saw that her son was happy with this very unusual girl, she quickly calmed down. Now he and Ruth get along great and the mother-in-law is already looking forward to grandchildren.
