Main Christmas drinks from around the world
New year and Christmas — the time we spend with family and friends at the festive table, bursting with the favorite dishes and drinks. And what is a festive meal, largely depends on the country in which we find ourselves. Every culture has its own traditional Christmas dishes and drinks that have to be on the holiday table.
And of course, no Christmas celebration is complete without wine or beer. However, some countries prefer mostly (or exclusively) seasonal drinks during the holidays. For example, creamy eggnog is a favorite drink of Americans and Canadians, and a similar drink based on cream also is used in Latin America, including Puerto Rico, Chile and Mexico. In the Nordic countries, Sweden and Finland especially popular glogg or mulled wine (also known as mulled wine) that I drink throughout December. Varieties of hot wine quite a lot in Europe, and all of them are made on the basis of red wine, changing only spices. Traditional German mulled wine is basically the same alcoholic glogg, only without the addition of raisins and almonds.
