Legend Rebirth: Finns launch updated version of Nokia 3310
The famous Nokia 3310 is even more durable than we thought. 12 years have passed since this device was discontinued, but, as it turns out, it is immortal. The Finnish company HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand, has announced the reincarnation of the "flagship": at the end of February, an updated version of the push-button 3310 will be presented at the exhibition in Barcelona. The phone will cost 59 euros.

The original Nokia 3310 appeared in 2000 and became a hit all over the world. According to various estimates, 120 to 200 million devices were sold.
At that time, the coolness of the mobile phone was measured not by the number of cores, but by the variety of functions. Nokia 3310 had a truly royal set: timer, alarm clock, calculator, voice dialing system (!), changeable backlight color and vibration strength, and four games at once, including the epoch-making snake.
In Russia, this model was sold, it seems, only in a blue case, but five colors were available in the West. In addition to blue — silver, yellow, red and blue. In fact, the fashion for replaceable color panels originated precisely thanks to the easy change of the case on Nokia.
The durability of the battery in the 3310 pushed the boundaries of consciousness: it was possible to talk continuously for four hours. And in standby mode, the phone "lived" for more than ten days.
It would be interesting to look at the Nokia 3310 as an Android smartphone with a long-lived battery in it. #Nokia pic.twitter.com/ErptjBkyOi

But all these advantages were only pleasant additions to the main advantage of Nokia 3310, which determined its cult status. This phone couldn't be broken. There were rumors that the Americans used Nokia 3310 as anti-tank shells in Iraq, and Wolverine claws were melted out of the spare parts of this phone.
