On this day, we had a helicopter ride planned, but the sky became cloudy and we began to wait for the weather. In order not to waste time, we went to the Paratunka River to look at the Kamchatka salmon

Not instantly, of course, but in the sense that this is the final stage of a fish's life. At this moment, the salmon is spotted or, as they say in Kamchatka, “sweet”

16. The workers said that the day before our arrival, a bear came to the backwater and fished all day. In general, the locals are quite calm about bears. Approximately the same as we treat big dogs - with caution and attention, but not horror-horror. In fact, the bears are now full and do not attack people. This year there was only one case when a bear rushed at a person.
