It's hard to guess what lies behind this stone
In fact, this boulder is a wooden house designed by the Swiss architectural studio Bureau A. The creators named their brainchild Antoine and installed it in the Swiss Alps. According to their idea, the strange structure will be able to serve as a shelter for traveling artists, if they, of course, guess that this is not a stone, but a real hunting dwelling. Bureau A architectural studio has created an unusual house hidden among the Alpine mountains. The original shelter is a harmonious part of the Swiss mountain landscape.
It looks like a very ordinary, unremarkable boulder. But if you look closely, you can see the windows and the door.
From the inside, the original building has everything you need: a bed, a chair, a folding table and even a fireplace. The cozy wooden interior will allow any tired traveler to feel at home.
Folding panels serve as a bed, benches and a table.
The house was named Antonie. The idea of creating an extraordinary structure was drawn by designers and architects from the works of Paul Virillo, who, as a French architectural critic and philosopher, wrote a lot about the principles of building hidden bunkers.
The house itself is made of wood, and the stone shell is created using a technology reminiscent of papier-mache.
The unusual shelter is named after the main character of the novel Ramu, in Derborence. According to the story, Antoine survived seven weeks under the rocks before he managed to return to his village.
