Irkutsk fast and furious: father and son stole goods from trucks on the move, as in an action movie
We like to accuse Hollywood filmmakers of being out of touch with reality, but it turns out that real life can be cooler than an action movie. In the Irkutsk region, the police detained a gang of robbers of heavy trucks, which used the technique shown in the action movie "Fast and Furious". The gang, consisting of a father and son, used a specially equipped minibus and... "Zhiguli"in their work.
The episode that became the reason for the detention of the "family contract" occurred last fall, but since the investigation was underway, law enforcement officers told about it only now.
In the official statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Irkutsk region, the situation is briefly described as follows:
The details of this crime are impressive. The driver, who contacted the police, said that goods worth more than a million rubles were missing from his van while traveling along the federal highway. The list of stolen items includes electric kettles, irons, televisions and flash cards.
On this occasion, a case was initiated under part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Theft". It was not difficult to solve the crime, since a few years ago similar cases occurred in the Irkutsk region and then a father and son were caught "on the hot". The men were convicted of stealing weapons from a truck on the move and served 5 years each.
It turned out that the men of 54 and 33 years old took up the old – during a search of their house, a part of the cargo missing from the truck was found. In the courtyard of the house, the police also found the main tools of the crime – two cars equipped for silent "docking" with trucks on the highway.
For their criminal purposes, the father and son modernized a Japanese-made minibus and domestic "Zhiguli". The windshields of the cars reclined, and the hood of the minibus was upholstered with soft material. To ensure a quiet and relatively safe docking with heavy trucks, rings were welded to the floor of the car. A rope with a tire fixed at the end was tied to them.
Approaching the truck, the attackers threw out a tire in front of the car to soften the impact on the van. After that, one of the criminals got out through the windshield on the hood, opened the doors of the truck or cut the awning and threw the loot into his car. Despite the fact that the thieves ' guilt is obvious, they stubbornly do not want to admit it. The police did not arrest the suspects, but limited themselves to a subscription not to leave until the trial.
