Inside my memory

Categories: Photo project |

“Once, after a trip to the island of Bali, where I met a wonderful local photographer, I decided to radically change my life. I fell in love with his work so much, fell in love with his camera, fell in love with the way he did it, how he created, how he built the frame. I decided to devote my life to creativity, namely photography. Now I learn and develop every day, because there is no limit to perfection. I love my job, I love picking up a camera and hearing the shutter sound, I love working with different people and helping them achieve their perfect look. I don’t just love my job, I live it, as many ideas for my photo shoots come to me in a dream.”

Nave Monde is a real genius in his field. With inexpressible grace, she manages to create amazing, atmospheric photo stories: from glamorous images and retrospective projects to touching stories that make you think. She allows her models to put their soul into every story they take part in, which is wonderful. One of the latest photo projects of the photographer was a story with references to Moby Dick and King Lear. This is the story of a father and daughter, this is a story about the past and the future, this is a story about love and loss.

Inside my memory
Inside my memory

1. “When I was 5 years old, my mother took me from the island, she did not want to hear about my father, and any mention of him caused in her a certain feeling of detachment, as if she closed herself in. She always changed the subject...

Inside my memory

2. “When I was 5 years old, I remembered how my father brought home the cutest puppy, he was as snow-white as snow in a cold winter, and his eyes were green as the color of grass when summer came to our island. I named him Queequeg."

Inside my memory

3. “All this time I was waiting and hoping to get at least news about him, but ... all in vain ... After some time, I realized that my mother was right: my father left us and never thought about me, and my memory just kept those fond memories of bygone days. It's a pity".

Inside my memory

4. “Father always told amazing stories about underwater cities and the amazing size of the inhabitants of those depths. We talked about the underwater god, whom he called Leviathan, about the aquatic inhabitants, about their way of life and that one day we will visit them.

5. “But the dreams were not destined to come true, everything collapsed in an instant, we parted ...”

Inside my memory

6. “So many years later, waiting for at least one letter, I was all alone. I grew up, I studied, I loved, I parted, but he always haunted me, like a ghost from the depths, my own Leviathan, the god of my past and my thoughts.

Inside my memory

7. “My path lay there, on that distant island, where fairy tales and fantasies took on meaning, where reality did not seem so depressing, where people smiled, where people believed in the best, where people looked at the horizon and followed their hearts.”

Inside my memory

8. “That old house, I can't believe it's still standing. And inside everything is preserved as before. Of course, before everything seemed so new and clean, now everything is covered with the dust of past years, like my soul and thoughts.

Inside my memory

9. “And you know... I found in my father's desk... letters - the same letters that I had hoped to receive. I found many unsent messages to me, as well as letters that I sent to my father in the hope of getting news from him.

Inside my memory

10. "The past captured me, I plunged into the pool of memory, and, like water inhabitants, I swam after my god."

Inside my memory

11. “The cold receded, everything bad that I felt gradually left, I read deeper and deeper into the words, I began to realize what happened, I began to understand why and how ... But many questions still remained unanswered.”

Inside my memory

12. “I found out from a local bartender that 15 years ago my father met a certain person who told him about an amazing creature that lives in the depths, a father who believed the legends of Leviathan, of course, believed a stranger.”

Inside my memory

13. “The stranger was talking about a white whale, the only white whale in the world, which he called Moby Dick. He was talking about a prize, some kind of treasure that can be obtained for the carcass of this creature.

Inside my memory

14. "Father agreed to go on this frightening journey."

Inside my memory

15. “Before leaving, he wrote me a letter where he told the whole truth that all these 15 years he tried to contact me, but my mother went against him and tore up all the letters he sent me. The court could not help him, since my father could not take care of me ... "

Inside my memory

16. "And he believed that this was his last chance, the last chance to be with me again."

Inside my memory

17. “So much time has passed…”

Inside my memory

18. “But after hearing the story about the white whale, my father immediately understood: this is his chance to bring me back. As soon as he catches him, he will be rich and will be able to return me.

Inside my memory

19. “The last entry in his diary reads: “So the day X has come. I'm ready my dear. My heart, my soul is with you. I love you very much and we will be together soon.”

Inside my memory

20. “I could not hold back the tears, as if the whole past again and again fell on me and plunged me deeper and deeper ...”

Inside my memory

21. “That was the last time my father was seen; he never returned from that trip.”

Inside my memory

22. “Many years have passed, but I feel that his soul is with me, inside me, inside my memory and my mind. I am he, his other half, and all the best in me comes from my father.

Inside my memory

23. “All this time I felt and felt him everywhere around me, my eyes saw him, and the cold nose of our Queequeg rubbed against my hands and reminded me of the past.”

Inside my memory

24. "Now I'm freed, I'm like a bird, I was able to get off the ground and fly up to the sky, I'm like Zis, my wings are huge, they outshine the clouds, I'm like Leviathan, I hear the sound of the sea and feel it inside me."

Inside my memory

25. "My mind was freed."

Inside my memory

26. “Now… we can see each other again and my dreams won't be nightmares, they will be magical. I will return to it again and again ... to that amazing fisherman's house, the place where I found happiness, the place where I found my life and found myself again many years later.

Inside my memory

27. “The last time I looked back, I think I saw him, he smiled at me, and Queequeg was in his arms, I realized that everything was fine ...”

Inside my memory

28. “Coming home was easy as my soul was freed from the burden of the past.”

Inside my memory

29. “Only the best is left in me, and now I will carry it further through the years. I will return to my mother and hug her, tell her about my love.

Inside my memory

30. “I will say that now my soul is calm, that I found my way, I met my monster, I defeated Leviathan and continued my voyage to the stars, peering into the distance. But I continued to believe ... to believe and love him.
