Then the doctors identified specific lymphocytes in Perkins' blood that are capable of attacking cancer cells. They were multiplied to 82 billion and injected the resulting army of white cells into the patient's body.

"I was extremely skeptical about this treatment, because I knew that there was very little chance of success," Judy shared. "But two weeks after the start of treatment, I felt that the tumors in my chest were decreasing and I felt better."

After six weeks, the woman's tumor decreased by 51 percent. After eight, it completely disappeared.

"Scientists may call it remission, but I call it a cure."
