In Canada, preparations for one of the largest festivals were stopped because of a bird and its nest with eggs

Every year in July, people from all over Canada come to Ottawa for Bluesfest, one of the country's largest music festivals. However, this year the preparations for the event had to be postponed in order to protect one mother bird and her nest.

The workers found a loud plover bird at the site of the construction of the main stage, which was guarding a nest with four eggs. The Charadrius vociferus species is protected by the Canadian government, and the nest can only be moved with official permission.

The festival's executive director, Mark Monahan, admitted that this is one of the most difficult problems they have faced in recent times. Loud plovers can leave their eggs if the nest is moved even a few meters, said a naturalist from Carleton University.
