Malin Stark, an employee of the hotel in Svalbard, went to the warehouse on June 3 to check the stocks of provisions, and found an uninvited guest. At first, the woman saw that the door was broken, and she was terribly angry because the door had only recently been repaired. Going inside, Malin saw torn bags of food waste and broken bottles of wine. And then I heard a strange sound. It turned out that the thief was still in the warehouse, just stuck in the window opening.

It turned out that the bear, in search of provisions, entered the warehouse, and as expected — through the door, but it slammed behind him, and the predator was trapped. The bear tried to get out, knocked out all the windows and got stuck in one of the window openings.

To free the uninvited guest, the hotel staff contacted the governor of Svalbard, the highest representative of the Norwegian government in the archipelago. He sent a rescue team and a polar bear specialist to the hotel.

But the help of rescuers was not needed. As soon as the bear heard the sounds of an approaching helicopter, he was so scared that he was able to get out on his own. The happy and free bear disappeared into the sea.
