Iceland is an expensive pleasure. And traveling with a tent in this country, with the exception of June and July, is an amateur entertainment. There is constant wind and dampness outside, and in the trailer you are always warm, there is a kitchen, toilet, shower, refrigerator, heater, music. In terms of comfort, the trailer is a cross between a hotel and a tent. At the same time, travel is cheaper than booking a hotel and renting a car.

Usually my trip lasts a week, very versatile people go with me on it. But they all quickly find a common language.

On the day of arrival, we take trailers and buy groceries. Waterfalls, geysers, volcanoes, thermal springs, unforgettable panoramas, black beaches and a fantastic ocean are waiting for us ahead.

Already at the entrance to the first campsite you will be able to admire an incredible view of the valley formed by the junction of the North American and Eurasian lithospheric plates!

But that's all tomorrow, and today we have our first night camping and getting to know the group. At campsites, we try to arrange cars in a circle to create the most cozy atmosphere and hide from the Icelandic winds. In the center of the resulting circle we arrange tables with chairs and, of course, a barbecue, without which it would be difficult to imagine our evening in the parking lot. After dinner, each of the fellow travelers necessarily tells about himself – this brings the company closer.

We usually cook the food on the trip ourselves. No dry rations – only healthy food. The car has everything for this, only skill and imagination are needed. We cook local lamb, salmon and sometimes horse meat. Mutton is especially delicious here.

Every day we leave the campsite at 8-9 in the morning. There is a lot to do, you can have time to visit up to 15 locations in a day.

Today's program includes the junction of two plates and the Oxarafoss waterfall, the highest geyser in the world and one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe Gulfoss.

Iceland is unpredictable, the weather changes as often as the fantastic views on the road. We got soaked through near the Saljalandsfoss waterfall.

It's good that there is a motorhome nearby – I went in, changed my clothes, drank hot tea and am ready to move on, while others are freezing in the car or change their plans and urgently go to the hotel. Now do you understand why the trailer?

We are heading to the wreckage of a DC-3 military aircraft that crashed on a black beach in 1973.

Our trailer rides are not long – usually from 20 to 60 minutes. During this time, you do not have time to get tired, especially when there are beautiful views of Iceland outside the car windows.

We get out to Vic Beach. We arrange tables, chairs, gather guys from all trailers, turn on music, we can drink wine or whiskey, smoke a hookah, and it's all with a gorgeous view of the ocean and rocks.

Then we go to the "Iceberg Lagoon". This place is becoming the most favorite for many.

On one of the following days of the trip, we stop at the campsite early in order to relax and organize a barbecue party on the lake shore. This is one of the best campsites we have been able to visit. The whole company traveling with us are already friends.

They find new friends on such trips. I would never have met so many interesting people if I hadn't traveled. And to embark on a journey is a great idea for those who want to "reboot". Often after such a trip, I hear that a person's life has changed dramatically, problems have receded into the background.

Traveling in trailers is an unforgettable adventure, it is an impression that will stay with you forever. Therefore, buy a ticket, gather a company and go to wonderful Iceland.
