Iceland from a bird's eye view

Iceland is a real dream for a geologist. In addition to volcanoes, this small island country has glaciers, rocky coasts, amazing geysers, thermal springs and other natural wonders. However, it is not necessary to wear the boots of a geologist to explore the landscape of this amazing country. Recently, Italian photographer Sandro Santioli took a series of photos of Iceland from a bird's-eye view.

"Aerial photos have always inspired me. These landscapes seem incredible from the ground, but from a bird's-eye view, they are simply amazing, " says the photographer. "I especially like places like seas, lakes, mountains, and volcanoes." Pictured: Landeyasandur. (Sandro Santioli, Solent News & Photo Agency)
