I swear to keep you forever, till death do us part
Thrifty buyer proved that the bag, like love, can be for life. 72-year-old Martin Mccaskey uses the same plastic bag for 34 years. The bag was used more than 2,000 times and is still perfectly fulfills its function, despite the small hole. Mccaskey always keeps the packet in the pocket of his jacket, to be able to use it at any moment.
"Generally I try to keep plastic bags — it's convenient. I, for example, was the package from Prague — kept it since 1990. But now he's gone," says Martin.
The Martin family did not know about the vintage bag up until a couple of days ago, he pulled it from his pocket to pick up some magazines from the home of his daughter.
"It is, of course, you can't carry weight, but it's perfect for going to the grocery store."
Martin Mccaskey compares modern plastic bag with my "longevity". The latter served for 34 years, and appeared in the new hole after the first trip to the store.
Helen, daughter of Mr. Mccaskey, took a picture of the package and posted a picture on his page in Facebook: "I think this is a great example of a particular mentality in this generation. Well shows a respect for things, even if it's just a plastic bag".
These pictures of the Martin family taken in the early 80s, around the same time when Mr. Mccaskey appeared indestructible package.
