"I don't need such happiness": the shortest marriage lasted 15 minutes
The marriage union of young people from Dubai claims to be the shortest in the world. The groom decided to divorce his beloved less than 15 minutes after the marriage.
Probably, many people will wonder what can make a man divorce his wife so quickly. The answer is simple — money, or rather a dowry, which the groom agreed to pay to the bride's father. The young man and the father of the bride signed a marriage contract, according to which the guy had to pay almost 30 thousand dollars. The men agreed that the groom would pay the money in parts: half after signing the contract, and the rest after marriage.
At first everything went according to plan: the groom honestly gave the bride's father half of the amount. But after the newlyweds left the courthouse, the father-in-law immediately needed the remaining money, which he told the young people right in front of the guests. The groom asked to give him five minutes, assuring him that the money is in the car, you just need to pick it up.
But greed clouded his father-in-law's mind. He demanded that the groom send one of his friends for the money, and preferably quickly. The men's skirmish took place under the gazes of guests and relatives. As the groom later said, he felt "insulted and humiliated." As a result, the guy was brought: he returned to the courtroom with his wife and filed for divorce less than 15 minutes after the marriage. The failed husband told the bride's father that he did not want to see his daughter as his wife. That's how the greed of one person became the cause of discord in the newly minted cell of society.
