How one of the most severe prisons in Russia "Black Dolphin"is arranged
All over the world, Russian prisons are considered almost the most severe. And one prison is especially famous for its strict regime and the prisoners who are kept there.
The Black Dolphin special regime colony for life convicts is located on the border with Kazakhstan, in the city of Sol-Iletsk. According to a National Geographic documentary, the prison contains the country's most dangerous criminals — serial killers, cannibals and terrorists. One of the guards told the film crew that the only way to escape from here was to die.
The prison got its unofficial name "Black Dolphin" thanks to a statue made by prisoners in front of the entrance. In fact, the colony is called "FKU IK-6 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Orenburg region".
There are 700 prisoners in the prison, including cannibals, serial killers, maniacs and terrorists.
In total, these criminals killed about 3,500 people. On average, this is five murders per prisoner.
The" Black Dolphin " contains life-long convicts. In the photo: Vladimir Nikolaev, serving time for cannibalism.
Nikolaev killed a man during a drunken fight, then dragged him to the bathroom, where he cut the body into pieces.
He ate some parts, gave the rest to a friend whose wife cooked the meat and served it to the family for dinner. Nikolaev is one of the most famous murderers in Russia.
The criminals are under round-the-clock video surveillance.
The prisoners are separated from the doors and windows by massive steel bars, the cell is a cage within a cage.
Two prisoners share 5 square meters of the cell.
Every 15 minutes, the guards make a detour.
When the convicts leave the cell, they must walk with a strong stoop, with their hands behind their backs.
When moving to another building or going for a walk, prisoners are put on a blindfold so that they cannot remember the plan of the prison.
Physical exercises — wandering from one corner to another. There is no prison yard for walking in the "Black Dolphin".
While the prisoners are out for a walk, the cells are searched-they are looking for contraband or evidence of escape preparations.
There is also no canteen in the prison.
Convicts eat right in their cells.
They are fed soup and bread.
No one managed to escape from the Black Dolphin prison.
