How much did it cost to develop logos for various brands?
The cost of the most recognizable logos of all time varies in the widest range: while some global brands paid millions of dollars to create them, others cost only a check for $15. And some didn't even spend a dime. The logo is a key factor in the strategic development of the company. 1. Google
Spent: $0
Although Google's iconic multicolored logo has gone through many changes over the years, its original design was created in 1998 by co-founder Sergey Brin using the free GIPM graphics program. The subsequent development of the rest of the Google logo prototypes was handled by Ruth Kedar, a mutual friend of Brin and Larry Page from their studies at Stanford University.
2. Coca-Cola

The famous Coca-Cola logo was created by the founder's partner, accountant Frank M. Robinson, in 1886. According to the company's official website, Robinson "suggested the name 'Coca-Cola' assuming that 'two 'C's' in the ad would look good." He wanted to develop a unique logo, so he experimented a lot, until he developed a special Spencerian handwritten font that displayed the handwriting characteristic of that time.

The company acquired its now world-famous Twitter bird logo for $15 from a stock photo bank. The author of the drawing - Simon Oxley, a British artist living in Japan - received for his work, most likely, about 6 dollars. Company co-founder Phil Knight acquired the famous logo in 1971 from Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student. Knight, who was lecturing at the University of Portland, overheard a young woman talking about how she hated oil paintings in galleries. So he offered her a part-time job: for $2 an hour, draw graphs, diagrams, and eventually a logo.
"I don't like it, but I might eventually like it," Knight said, reluctantly handing over $35 for a Nike swoosh.

In 2008, BP paid $211 million for its logo. Advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather worked on changing the logo, slogan and image "to portray a company you can trust and believe in".
