"Girls and cats": a photographer from new York against the stereotypes about crazy cat ladies
Photographer from new York brianna wills (BriAnna Wills) leads the project "Girls and their cats" on Instagram in 2015. His project girl seeks to debunk the stereotype of the crazy "strong and independent" lady, showing which of the hosts in a positive light. She photographed more than 300 girls and their cats, most of which once rescued or from shelters. Brianna soon releases a book about his project.
Girl — Aisha, cat — Alex, Zena, Tiger
"My cats are my reflection. They represent the full range of my personality and periods of my life," says the hostess.
Girl — Hannah. Cats — Coco and Alois
"Coco has inspired me to become a volunteer to rescue the kittens. She taught me how big the need for educational resources when you do just take care of the kitten. Alois is a very modest girl. She loves to meet new people and movement, but because of this we are even more close."
The Girl — Sarah. Cat — Loki
"Loki is incredibly affectionate, sweet and sociable. He loves to NAP on my belly, eat chicken and eggs, and crazy scratching behind the ear".
Girl — Monica. Cats — Linus and Zorro
"Linus is a real looker. He always manages to pose so that it is effectively all the pics. Zorro is more an indoor cat, but very loyal and loving with people he trusts".
Girl — Gamila. Cat — Smarti
"Smarti is an incredibly sociable little creature. Of course, not very nice when he purrs in my ear at five in the morning, but the way I see it, he just opened according to their needs".
Girl — Alexandra. Cat king, Lou and Maxine
"Every morning I Wake up in a cat bikini: one sleep on my chest, other on hip. They are the best!"
Girl — Eve. Cats BEA and Winnie
"BEA and Winnie are like Yin and Yang. BEA is very shy with hints of gloom, while Winnie is always happy and ready to play. Together they were indestructible balance. I see Vinnie often teaches, But does not take everything too seriously!"
Girl — Jiajia. Cat — Coco
"When Coco grew up, we came to the point that "Pets look like their owners". Her black-and-white fur that blends in perfectly with my almost monochrome wardrobe, and a bedroom, where she spends about 90 percent of their time".
Girl — Bethany. Cats Minerva and Loki
"They're both the sweetest thing I have! I am so grateful that we all found each other."
Girl — Sam. Cat — Sabbat
"I never wanted to have a cat until I met her. Now Sabbat — my only one. She has a chair in the hallway, where she loves to sit and see all, like a Queen — their possessions".
In August 2019 brianna is releasing a book with photos and stories of "Girls and cats"
