German scientists have proved that creative people are doomed to live in poverty
It just so happened that the majority of people who chose a creative profession, get a tiny money. They say that this is payback for the lack of five days, and complete freedom of action. But if you look at the matter seriously — is that an excuse? Scientists do question and find out what obstacles stand between creative people and the Golden mountains.
Researchers from the German University of Gottingen medical center came to the conclusion that the cause of poverty creative people in the peculiarities of the structure of their brain.
To prove this theory, researchers recruited 24 volunteers — 12 12 creative and "uncreative" people. Participants were divided into two groups: the first was dreamy photographers, musicians, painters, sculptors and actors, and the second — the representatives of ordinary professions (engineers, administrators, insurance agents, dentists).
All subjects were shown pictures that need to find certain colors. Once the color is found — you have to press the button. The experimental conditions for green participants received 30 euros for the other colors, nothing.
During this action the brain of each participant was scanned in the MRI machine.
And here is the result. Creative people, seeing green, bring money, showed very low activity in the area of stripe body — this area of the brain responsible for rewards. If free artists seen free color, the machine recorded high activity in the prefrontal cortex — this division is responsible for the production of dopamine which, in turn, causes a feeling of satisfaction.
Conclusion: creative people don't think about rewards, they are important only in the process itself which brings pleasure. And it turned out that freelance work is much better, if you know that it does not bring them money.
It turns out that creative people are just not interested in money at the physiological level, and nothing can be done. Will have to live in poverty.
