Futuristic masterpieces Koichi Takada, the Japanese architect, who is looking for inspiration in nature
Koichi Takada (Koichi Takada), an architect originally from Tokyo, wanted to transform the architecture back in University days, and we can safely say that he did it — now he is designing buildings, drawing inspiration from nature. After winning the design competition for the National Museum of Qatar architecture firm Koichi Takada Architects has become a leading player in this field.
Recently, his firm proposed a project that radically transforms an area of Los Angeles. They presented the skyscraper Sky Trees on South hill street in downtown Los Angeles as a true sculptural masterpiece with undulating wooden slats with a height of 70 floors. The bottom edges of the slats are raised, simulating a drop-down petals
Koichi spent his childhood in the rural suburbs of Japan, and this largely influenced his desire to pursue the design of nature.
But it did not last long.
This strongly influenced the views of the future architect. He valued his world of nature and wanted to help their talents to reimagine created by people space. He went to study architecture in new York- perhaps the most urbanized place in the world.
It was his stay in new York gave him direction.
Yet there was one place where he felt peace:
This source of inspiration obviously lives in his magnificent creations. The photo below captures the interior of the National Museum of Qatar. Due to the high undulating walls visitors feel like they are on the gorge or hidden in some cave somewhere. But despite the magnificence of design, it is quiet and peaceful.
Major cities are gradually beginning to realize the benefits of the natural environment, so the design philosophy of Koichi may well be the future of cities.
