Fetid train: cars with feces have been standing in an American town for two months

Stinking wagons stand next to the softball courts. Now children have to look for places to play elsewhere to escape from the terrible smell.
Sherlyn Pike lives less than a kilometer from the railroad tracks, and she has to smear peppermint oil under her nose because the smell is simply unbearable.
Alabama, like other southern states, has been taking on waste from all over the country for a long time. A former state attorney general once called a giant landfill in western Alabama "America's paid toilet." It was one of the largest dumping sites for hazardous waste. It all started in the 80s, when the government banned dumping waste into the Atlantic Ocean.
The ill-fated train got stuck in Parrish due to problems with the zoning law. The mayor of the city hopes that the situation will be corrected before the summer.
