Eroticism and anatomy: show what is hidden under the skin
"Visceral" is an impressive series of anatomical portraits created during the collaboration of Colombian illustrator David Perez and photographer Paola Rojas H. Perez masterfully drew anatomical details on the models, and Rojas, taking picture after picture, caught naked bodies in the camera lens, covered with serenity and tranquility. As a result, juicy shots were obtained, seasoned with light eroticism and primitiveness.
This series of works can be safely called a modern visual anatomical manual. And, despite the conflicting opinions and condemnations, there is not a hint of vulgarity in these seemingly candid pictures.
To create illustrations, the authors chose two colors — red and blue. Each of them has a special meaning. The cool blue shade reflects the surgical subtext, and the red conveys the warmth of life, passion and a kind of primitive instinct.
