Donald Trump's Sons love to kill animals
On November 9, the Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US presidential election. Many skeptics considered his possible victory something absolutely incredible, but nevertheless it happened. We would like to remind you which sons were raised by businessman and politician Donald Trump, who will manage the world's largest economy for the next four years.
So, in January 2011, two rich young men went on safari in Zimbabwe, where they killed many animals — from civets to elephants. The names of these hunters were Eric and Donald. From their entertainment and hunting tour, the guys brought a lot of photos taken against the background of their prey. Despite the smiling faces of the hunters, the Greenpeace people did not share their joy and found the behavior of the young people outrageous.
(12 photos in total)
Donald Trump Jr. has published a selection of photos from a hunting trip he went on with his brother Eric.
It should be noted that such a hobby is quite expensive. For a hunting permit, Trump's heirs paid the environmental authorities of Zimbabwe several tens of thousands of dollars.
The hunt was more than successful: the collection of animals killed by young billionaires includes a huge water buffalo, crocodile, kudu antelope, civet and elephant.
The traditional hunting photos published by Trump Jr. against the background of prey caused a storm of indignation among animal rights defenders.
Most of the outrage was caused by a photo in which a young Trump poses with a severed elephant tail in his hand.
The photo with the elephant provoked an extremely sharp reaction from conservationists: posing in front of the camera with the elephant's tail cut off was called by critics "desecration of the corpse of a needlessly killed animal that is threatened with extinction."
The hunter posted a response on his Twitter, in which he stated that he was not at all ashamed of the photos and that he had done nothing reprehensible — on the contrary!
First, he sponsored the local economy and environmental agencies. Secondly, he provided poor villages in the district with a large amount of meat, which they do not eat every day. And thirdly, none of the animals he killed is in danger of extinction - including that ill—fated elephant.
"Such a trophy hunt and senseless killing offends many people," said Michael Markarian, a representative of the movement for a humane society in the United States. —These privileged young people hunted for entertainment, not for survival."
"My sons love hunting, they have become excellent hunters. I myself do not understand this hobby and am surprised that they like it," Donald Trump himself said about the pictures.
