Do you have a photo from Russia? Take part in the contest "The most beautiful country"
The Russian Geographical Society is holding a photo contest "The most beautiful country" for the third time. You can participate at any age and from any country, the main condition is that the pictures must be taken in Russia. We tell you why it's worth looking for good photos in the archives until March 31 and sending them to the contest.

The winner in each nomination will receive 250 thousand rubles. In total, there are 12 nominations in the competition: "Indigenous and small peoples of Russia", "Russia in faces", "Landscape", "Wild animals", "Birds", "Caves", "Macrocosm", "Underwater world", "Russia from a bird's-eye view", "Cultural heritage", "These funny animals" and "The world is in our hands."
The winner of the special prize "The Best young Photographer" (and the youngest participant of the competition was four years old) will receive a special prize — a professional camera.

In 2017, the best photos from the competition were exhibited at international airports and cultural centers, on the main boulevards and streets of Russian cities and in 15 other countries around the world. The works of the winners were viewed by about seven million people. One of the goals of the photo competition is to foster a careful attitude to nature and preserve the wildlife of the country.

The jury consists of famous photographers, famous public figures and representatives of the art world. The primary selection of images is carried out by reputable photographers and heads of the largest photo services in Russia.
In 2018, the best works will be selected by RGO President Sergei Shoigu, Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst, director Andrey Konchalovsky, director of the Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova, famous photographers and other cultural figures.
