Designers from Colombia have created a backpack-shell of old tires

Colombian designers from the Cyclus company have created an original design of a backpack called "Pangolin", which won first place at the Steel Pencil Design Award design competition. The novelty is completely handmade from recycled rubber tires.

When creating the backpack, Cyclus designers drew inspiration from nature: the design resembles a pangolin — an unusual mammal close to armadillos and anteaters, covered with large protective scales.

The material of the backpack is recycled rubber tires. It is worth noting that the backpack does not have a single zipper, and it closes with a specially designed magnetic mechanism.

The backpack combines functionality and simplicity. The texture and material give the "shell" strength and durability — it, like its mastermind pangolin, is adapted to harsh and extreme conditions and any weather. The cost of a cool little thing is about $ 400 (26 thousand rubles).
