Belsky started collecting sexist posters back in 2016, drawing attention to the fact that very often women are not placed on posters entirely. This practice has existed in America for decades and is nothing more than the objectification of women. Marcia Belsky's project became popular only after a series of scandals in Hollywood related to sexual harassment.

The technique of "fragmentation" of a woman on advertising posters exists only to please men sexually. The "decapitated" women on the poster cannot have feelings, individuality and opinions, they are faceless. This forms an unhealthy attitude towards women.
