Children in a cage, or how we ended up face to face with bears
As they say: either you eat the bear, or the bear eats you? Here the case is this: either the bear is sitting in a cage, or you are sitting in a cage.
Blogger Mikhail Korostelev and like-minded people spent several days in a cage in Kamchatka and watched the bears! And at this time, the animals approached him, sniffed the camera lens, fished nearby, brought their cubs - in general, they lived a full life.

Source: shukerearthFrom today I live in a cage. This is my home for the next few days.
For now, I'll try it on the shore, and then I'll transfer it to the river, where the bears like to fish.
If there are no bears, I have something to do - I have a book by Igor Petrovich Shpilenok with me.
But the bears did not let them get bored. Here is the first one that visited me.
A few other teenagers also came. And in the evening the mother came with two cubs.
Thanks to the guys who helped me collect the cage and carry it to the filming location!
Kamchatka diary. The second day of life in a cage. Haven't eaten yet.
Guys, I'm still alive, despite the pessimism of most commenters to the post that I now live in a cage. The bears are getting closer.
At first, the bears were surprised by the new structure on the beach, but they quickly got used to it, although they bypassed me for 3-4 meters in the water. And by evening, the bears no longer paid attention to me and hunted sockeye salmon at the mouth of the stream.
The third day of life in a cage in Kamchatka.
The zoo, on the other hand, continues. Nastya joined me today. Together it is more fun to wait for the bears.
And it was really fun. Matrena, a noble mother with two cubs, came to visit us. She is really very big - more than all the local males (except for Casanova, but about him later). As they came in the morning, they spent the whole day with us. Matrena trusted us and left the kids under our supervision when she went fishing.
Online reporting from the cage continues. Follow the news! Another 2-3 days, and we will rearrange the cage in the river. Casanova is already waiting for us there!
Kamchatka. Report from the cell. 4th day of captivity.
Finally, the bears began to get to know each other better. Today I was already sniffed through the lens.
Nastya is still sitting with me. She liked it so much that now she can’t be kicked out of the cage. But, as I said, the two are more fun, and you can shoot twice as much.
Sockeye salmon crowds at the entrance to the Golden Stream. It is already much less than a week ago, but it still stubbornly makes its way to spawning. She has to go literally on foot, since the depth here is a maximum of 5 centimeters, or even less, and the sockeye salmon is 8-10 centimeters high.
So there is enough food for all bears.
The Sony family is with us all day today. Mom and two kids. They sat in the shade on the other side of the stream. Bear cubs periodically go fishing, but, as a rule, to no avail. Then they come up to their mother and start whining. Mom reluctantly gets up, goes to the lake, brings a fish and throws it to the cubs. After that, he falls asleep again, and the sleepy kingdom continues.
Suddenly another mother came from the direction of the cordon, also with two cubs. Our dormouse jumped up, saw off the guests with displeased glances, and fell asleep again. The new family passed a meter from our cage. Suddenly one of the cubs became interested in us.
The second teddy bear also turned around and walked in our direction, however, it did not come close. Mom ignored it and moved on.
The teddy bear was very curious. He came closer and closer. The nostrils worked at full capacity. Eyes cautiously peered at us and the construction that was incomprehensible to him.
When he was already point-blank sniffing my lens, I told him: “Hey, don’t be impudent at all already.” The bear raised his head, and I photographed him from below.
