Dr. Asim Shahmalak, who lives in Manchester, periodically comes to Karachi (Pakistan) to perform operations for free. In his own words, he plays a small role in the phenomenal efforts of surgeons to help women cope with life-changing injuries. He's doing a hair transplant from his head to his eyebrows. Asim is one of nine surgeons in the world who perform such operations. He said he cried when he first heard the stories of acid attack victims he treated in a Karachi hospital.
