Before and after: Kyiv on Instagram
For three months the protesters stood on the Maidan, trying to get through to the authorities. The conflict escalated until it escalated into an open armed confrontation, as a result of which dozens of people were killed, and the very heart of the Ukrainian capital was engulfed in fire.
All these days, the whole world has been closely watching the situation in Ukraine, which proved that the people can achieve their goal, because yesterday the military left the government quarters, early elections were called, and representatives of the ruling party fled the country one by one. President Yanukovych is likely to resign, he left his residence, and now no one knows for sure where he is.
The anti-government protests have greatly changed the lives of the people of Kiev, many of whom were on the Maidan. And in this issue, you will see a selection from Instagram that clearly demonstrates these changes. Look at what people saw and what they were fond of before the Euromaidan, and what a picture they have before their eyes now, how their usual way of life has changed. From self-portraits and food photos to fire and blood, these images prove how quickly and easily everything that is so dear to our hearts, but which we did not notice until we lost, can disappear.
