This is the story of Elena Erhulai, better known as Baba Lena, who, despite his advanced age, alone went to travel the world and along the way has won the hearts of thousands of fans online. Unfortunately, grandma Lena passed away in 2019, but Chronicles her travels still available on Facebook, reminding us that it's never too late to follow your dream.
Elena Erhova from Krasnoyarsk always been an avid traveler, and in Soviet times, she took every opportunity to go to some interesting new place.
In the 70‑ies, when she was over forty, Lena was able to visit in Prague, Poland and East Germany.
But travel is not cheap, and the woman had to forget about the favorite.
Only forty years later, when she was 83 years old, woman Lena remembered his passion for travel and decided that I would go to see the world.
In one interview woman Lena shared that thought gave her friends.
They asked her why she's not traveling now, when she has the money, and woman Lena said
Woman Lena to save money with pensions, and also sold flowers and knitted things.
It is enough to visit not the typical 91-year-old grandmother from Russia places: woman Lena not only plenty for a ride in Russia, but also visited Germany, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Vietnam and other countries.
While traveling woman Lena was not afraid of anything: often, of course, she went on tours of various spectacular places, but it also saddled the camel in Israel, rode on a motorcycle in Vietnam, was whitewater rafting, participated in various carnivals, festivals and so on.
One day she met another Russian traveler, Catherine Papin — speaking woman Lena always traveled alone (!).
Daddy's posted on their Facebook a photo op, and it has collected more than 14,000 shares on Facebook.
After that, the grandson of Lena created her pages in social networks, and began to document her adventures on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Unfortunately, grandma Lena passed away from cancer in 2019, and after that, her page on YouTube and Instagram removed.
Now photographs it is available on the page in Facebook, which was left in memory of the brave traveler.
Grandma Lena is a bright example of the fact that it's never too late to start doing things you love.
After all, she began to travel to 83 years, just 8 years before death, and during this time managed to see more than some — in my life.
