Perhaps no variety of rabbits can boast such fluffy fur as Angora rabbits have. It is because of their soft and long wool that they are popular today among rabbit breeders all over the world.
These rabbits were first bred in Turkey, where they were named after the capital, Ankara, which was previously called Angora. And in the 18th century, rabbits appeared in France, after which they quickly spread throughout Europe.
Angora rabbits, depending on the breed, can weigh from two to six kilograms. At home, they live quite a long time (5-7 years), but only with careful care.Interestingly, Angora rabbits are very playful, active and sociable, which is a bit like dogs and cats. They love to play with different objects like a rubber ball or a fir cone found in the yard.
And besides, they love the attention of their owners, as well as other pets in the house. For example, an Angora rabbit may happily take a nap next to a cat or small dog. You need to constantly monitor the rabbits' nutrition, give them the necessary vitamins, and their fur should be combed regularly. Moreover, fulfilling the last requirement is especially important. If rabbits are not brushed, they can die from wool they ingest while grooming themselves, which they are unable to digest.
